Goodwood Volleyball Association is a not-for-profit community organisation that relies on volunteers to serve as committee members whose role is to oversee the efficient operation of the association and its volleyball competitions, and manage finances and equipment.

The GVA committee members are elected annually at the GVA Annual General Meeting, normally held at the end of November. While the GVA Constitution recommends a core minimum committee membership that should comprise a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, the final committee for any twelve month period is also determined by nominated volunteers being willing to stand for those positions.
